In 2012, we provided start-up funds for a beadmaking project at SOVCO (Support the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Organization) in Uganda. The women who participate make and sell paper bead jewelry, including a paper bead craft kit for children, which was named Josephina! (after Scout), and use the revenues to pay for school fees and medical care for their children. You can buy their products from the Blue Door.
