The Scout Fund provided a seed grant to the National Prevention Science Coalition to Improve Lives, an organization that advocates for the use of evidence-based practices and policies that prevent problems before they occur and reduces government expenditures by implementing efficient, proactive approaches that confront problems before they develop. The ultimate goals are that conditions are supported under which children, adolescents, families and communities thrive and governments systematically enact policies to foster these conditions.
The Coalition has gone on to receive several larger sustaining grants from other foundations. |
